Di Tao and Bob Dodd founded Objects & Ideas as a Canadian design practice in 2015 in order to pursue that vision of a transformative design process, one that could turn their unique ideas and concepts for furniture and lighting into objects of desire.

All of OI’s works are made with an attention to quality in collaboration with a community of artisans around the Greater Toronto Area.

There is beauty in the shapes and geometry of industrial machines that reaches beyond their function.

Part of the Mono family, the table-top floats above a single twisting and turning outline of solid wood. A modern take on the classic round dining table. The flowing, wrapping legs of the table were inspired by a visit to an airshow. It expresses a feeling – one single line drawn in space, twisting and turning to produce the fluid outline that was to become the Mono table.
