Vaste offers a line of contemporary, high-end, hardwood furniture designed and manufactured in its Montréal based studio. Vaste makes furniture with the highest quality standards, and exclusively uses wood products native to the north-eastern region of the continent.

Vaste is influenced by Nordic nature and its material resources, by their local cultural heritage and traditional architecture, as well as the amalgamation of craftsmanship and new manufacturing and design technologies. The Dune chair was initially designed as part of the renovation project for the Le Parlementaire restaurant at Quebec's National Assembly. The success of the chair's distinctive backrest, carved from a solid block of wood to resemble the sweeping crest of a sand dune, led to the development of a full collection of seating inspired by the same design concept. Vaste now offers two chair styles, a stool, and a bench.

Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe, and avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the finish. You can maintain the finish by periodically cleaning with a coat of Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner, which will help to keep the wood looking its best. If the finish is scratched, you can sand it lightly with a fine-grit sandpaper and then apply a thin coat of Osmo Polyx Oil.
