Caroline Z. Katz is a ceramic artist, photographer, and painter based in Vancouver, Canada.
Her work across these mediums presents a unique opportunity to draw from diverse creative experiences. Caroline creates personal objects and forms with a minimalist and natural aesthetic. Her intuitive and in-depth approach to creating one-of-a-kind, beautiful objects is rooted in natural and raw forms, deeply influenced by landscapes, rock formations and the woods. All of Caroline’s pieces emerge from a substantial amount of time in the artist’s hands forging a connection that can be both seen and felt. She creates each piece through various stages, coiling, smoothing, pushing + pulling the clay. Everything is interconnected in her process, between the clay, the form and the space it leaves for interpretation.
