Canoa Lab

Canoa Lab was founded by Pedro Paz & Raquel Vidal in Valencia, Spain in 2016. Both students of fine arts, they worked in photography, video, graphics, and art direction before discovering clay and metal as their preferred mediums. Experimentation is at the heart of their work and the reason why they refer to their workshop as a laboratory, yet their work is grounded in historical forms and ancestral production methods, largely borrowing from Iberian, Roman, and Greek design.They work primarily by hand, using as few tools as possible in the production of their clay vessels.
