Andrea Copp is a ceramicist and artist based in Vancouver, Canada.

Artist's Statement
This piece was created during the summer of 2024 at my boathouse, where I was accompanied by a mother gull and her insistent young one, constantly squawking for food. As I left my work to dry on the pier, the curious baby gull pecked at the piece, leaving its mark. This interaction between nature and creation inspired the piece, which features a soothing aquamarine finish, reminiscent of the clear, clean shoreline.
