Studio Julien Peltier - Wood Bowl - White Ash
Julien Peltier is a French born, self-taught sculptor who creates unique objects of organic simplicity. Based in Montreal, Julien believes in handmade and sustainable woodwork. Julien finds inspiration in the brutalism and minimalist movements as well as traditional Japanese woodworking techniques. Crack, defects and organic aspects of the pieces serve to react against an excess of perfection in modern furniture. At the peak of simplicity, his work sits on timelessness, beauty and the natural occurring characteristics of wood.
One-of-a-kind bowls has been finished with eco friendly vegetable oil and wax.
