TREKO was founded to preserve and share the work of master artisans of Chiloé, one of the most fascinating areas of the South of Chile. TREKO combines a contemporary aesthetic with the time-honoured traditions of the region and its people. Fusing elements of striking individual design with traditional weaving and knitting, the textiles are made from 100% natural wool and are crafted using techniques dating from the 16th century, passed down within the Huilliche community.
