Italian artist Maddalena Forcella and sustainable development expert Marie Farneth, founded MADDA Studio in 2017 that collaborates with predominantly female artisans in Oaxaca and Chiapas. Madda Studio’s textiles are inspired by the women of Mexico, meticulously handwoven and felted in natural fibres while incorporating natural dyes into the textiles. Each work represents and celebrates the uniqueness, the non-repeatability, the idiosyncrasy of the material and the irregularities of bespoke handmade textiles.
