Artist's Statement
This body of work was built simultaneously, each of the four vessels formed in a state of urgent, synergetic flow. The making was fast, focused, and intuitive—each form responding to the others in motion, as if carried by one continuous current.
Each piece was layered with porcelain slip, embedded with rusted metal, shell, and stone. Fired again and again. Cracked with intent. Struck with wheatgrass. The surfaces speak of landscape and emotional terrain: weathered, fragile, alive. The textures draw from my landscape and love of wheat fields—echoing cliffs, moss, ruins, and the beauty of decay. Decay is as magnificent as growth.
Though each vessel stands alone, they speak together: me, you, us, and Refining Rage. A study in fracture, tension, elemental connection, identity, and togetherness. Made with love, always.
