Scott Morgan is a Vancouver based artist and photographer.

Artist's Statement
The Constellation series is an extension of Scott's previous series 10,000 Years and the unique technical process he used to produce the Suryagrams. Using the sun's rays to etch directly onto an array of modern and vintage silver gelatin photographic papers, the Morgan manipulates light and chemistry, returning photography to its etymological root as "light drawing", and foregrounding the photographic process as a metaphor for vision and transformation. The Constellations take that to a new level by collaging and blending Suryagrams to create a new sculptural vocabulary. These intimate works explore the language of stars and the transformational collisions of celestial bodies.
